Sometimes he has no choice but to join in the crazy stuff for charity because he is my son, but this time it was all his doing. Fair play to him, not many 13-year-olds would do it.”Liam explained that his son was nominated on facebook by friends as part of the #manupandmakeup craze and that it shows the positive effect social media can have following the recent negativity of the neck nominations saga.“Things like this can be turned around very positively and a good cause gets to benefit. As for men taking this up, in the end I see more men doing this than the girls”, Liam added.Speaking about his own charity work, Liam explains that his daughter Sophie is disabled and a group of cyclists recently held a major fundraiser for St Gabriel’s School where Sophie is a pupil.Liam said he hopes “a few more of the lads put on their jerseys, as well as the lippy, and pose for a selfie for the cause”.“Limerick lads are just mad to do this kind of stuff, given half the chance. It’s a great laugh but more importantly it is a very good charity that is going to benefit,” he added.Send your #manupandmakeup pictures to [email protected] and we will add them to our online gallery.center_img Print #SaucySoul: Room 58 – ‘Hate To See You Leave’ #HearThis: New music and video from Limerick rapper Strange Boy RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR Emma Langford shortlisted for RTE Folk Award and playing a LIVE SHOW!!! this Saturday WhatsApp Three Limerick charities receive Aldi Community Grants donations Watch the streamed gig for Fergal Nash album launch last_img read more
