This position alsofacilitates students in their learning process by utilizing allappropriate College resources, materials, facilities, andeducational technologies available to complement the teaching andlearning process and provides instruction. TheCoordinator/Instructor reports to the Computer Science InformationTechnology department chair and the Mathematics and SciencesDivisional Dean.Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Recruits students and provides them with programinformation• Works with community partners, the TCC Foundation and otheragencies to obtain tuition assistance for students in need• Works with TCC Career and Employment Service to promote programand help students find jobs in PCNT .• Interviews, recommends for hire and assists in evaluating adjunctfaculty and staff members• Verifies that instructors who are currently teaching havecertifications required by the program• Works with the Program Advisory Committeeo Recruits industry professionals to serve on the advisorycommittee,o Schedules and organizes advisory committee meetingso Provides support to the industry chair of the committeeo Designates a note taker for all advisory meetings, compilesminutes in the required THECB format, and posts minutes to thedesignated shared site.• Coordinates labs by scheduling class and lab times, monitoringand ordering supplies for the lab• Creates, coordinates, and maintains internship sites whilemaintain positive relationships with business, industry andcommunity partners.• Creates and maintains an alumnus tracking system.• Evaluates program effectiveness based on percentages of studentsearning industry certifications and retention of students tocomplete the entire certification series• Aligns PCNT program certificates with TCC undergraduatecertificates and degrees• Provides data for THECB required reports.• Explores, documents, and recommends new opportunities to provideadditional industrial certifications within the department• Meeting regularly with Computer Science Information Technologydepartment chair or dean to provide program updates.• Develops, maintains, and complies curricula that meets THECBregulations and TCC standards and policies• Instructs and engages students in multiple class formats such asface to face, hybrid, or online• Provides meaning full feedback to students• Documents grades and attendance promptly and regularly• Builds professional relationships with students, colleagues andadministrators• Organizes and maintains equipment used by students during classtime• Collaborates with early college high school and workforce dualcredit programs• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite• Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC )• Supports the values of the College: diversity, teachingexcellence, student success, innovation and creativity and serviceto the College• Supports the mission, values and 3 goals and 8 principles of theCollegeThe duties listed are intended only as illustrations of the varioustypes of work that may be performed.
