Artist gearing up for exhibit

LANCASTER – Internationally known artist Don Bachardy will appear at a reception tonight for an exhibition of his acrylic paintings in the Antelope Valley College Art Gallery, 3041 W. Avenue K. “Portraits from Life,” will feature a series of colorful portraits by Bachardy, including 50 exclusive, limited-edition prints created for sale as a fundraiser for the gallery, on the southwest corner of the campus. The reception will start at 7 p.m. and will include a talk and tour of the gallery by the artist. The exhibit will run through March 24. “The Eyes of Don Bachardy,” a 12-minute film by Terry Sanders, also will be shown as part of the exhibit. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Information is available by calling the gallery at (661) 722-6300, Ext. 6215.last_img read more
