Hv to consult them, ensure their willingness&see there’s no conflict of interest:V Rai- ANI (@ANI_news) July 15, 2017Team India already has Sanjay Bangar and R Sridhar as its full-time batting and fielding coach respectively. The role of Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan, who were appointed batting and bowling consultants respectively, will also be discussed in the meeting. While the BCCI has already clarified in a statement that Zaheer’s appointment is on a tour-to-tour basis, it is clear that he will be spending around five months with the Indian team.Zaheer reportedly did not wish to commit more than 100 days but with Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) insisting, it is now a done deal for 150 days.”There’s no such thing as a contract as yet. These are just recommendations. A recommendation has been made and the CoA has to act on that. That recommendation will be acted upon in consultation of the head coach,” he said. Earlier there were reports which said that Shastri was unhappy with the appointment of Zaheer as bowling coach as he wanted to bring his trusted man Arun for the job.Reports in some quarters claimed the CoA felt that the CAC, comprising Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman went out of their ambit in picking the coach.Hurt by these criticism and reports, the CAC wrote a letter to the CoA chairman Vinod Rai and said the appointments were made after informing the new coach Shastri and India captain Virat Kohli.”We spoke to Mr Shastri about getting Mr Khan and Mr Dravid on board in these capacities, and he readily agreed to the idea of having them in the set-up so that it could benefit the team and Indian cricket as a whole in time to come,” the CAC wrote in its letter.
