Indiana’s Parratto Qualifies for 10-Meter Final at World Championships

first_img Indiana University diver Jessica Parratto qualified for the championship final of the 10-meter platform dive at the 2017 FINA World Championships on Tuesday in Budapest, Hungary.In the preliminaries, Parratto qualified 12th overall with a score of 306.85 to earn a spot in the semifinals. Parratto then totaled a 322.75 (T-8th) in the semis to earn a spot in the 12-diver championship final on Wednesday, which is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. ET.The championship final is the second this week for Parratto at the FINA World Championships, who also placed sixth in the 10-meter synchro on Sunday.Parratto will be one of three current IU divers scheduled to compete on Wednesday at the World Championships. Both Team USA’s Michael Hixon and Team Australia’s James Connor will dive in the 3-meter. Preliminaries are set to start at 4:00 a.m. ET, with semifinals at 9:30 a.m. ET.
